STUDIO_M has been a given in the food photography scene in the Amsterdam region for the past 10+ years.
Having always focussed on food and drinks images, and with 10+ years experience as a food and drinks images photographer and retoucher, Olivier Mul is your go-to-guy in the Netherlands for food content creation.
As a team with Wimer Meijer, they form STUDIO_M.
Our food-photography studio’s location is ideal for clients and food stylists visiting by car, because we are so close to the ring of Amsterdam and there’s free parking right in front of the photostudio!
For clients who want to reach their food photo production at our photo studio by public transportation or bike: we’re also close to Amsterdam's city centre and Amsterdam Sloterdijk train station.
One of Amsterdam's many nice hotels is across the street from our food photo studio, so if necessary, clients can stay overnight nearby, to oversee their culinary photo shoot with maximum time efficiency.
Pre-production work like PPMs, the creation of recipes, conceptualisation or test photography are all possible at STUDIO_M. Arranging photo locations, models, freelancers, etc. is also part of our repertoire.
Always focussing on (and listening carefully to) the story of the client’s product, the team at STUDIO_M can help visualise your specific needs for your project.
Furthermore, we can help picturing what your target audience is into, and what visual language can attract a broader clientele for your product.
With a deep understanding of visual language, and always being up to date on the latest styles, we can advise on what it takes to achieve maximum efficiency with image stopping power.
Of course, this also applies to the creation of pack shots. A concept is redundant for pack shots, but nevertheless, we put just as much love and care into creating a beautiful product shot for our clients.
Not only does STUDIO_M cover the photography production part of your project, we also provide you with the best food post production Amsterdam has to offer.
This is mainly done by Olivier Mul in house, which absolutely makes (post) production faster and more accurate.
Because we always strive for the highest quality possible for your budget, in house retouching gives us an advantage on many of our competitors, who require freelance retouchers for complicated projects.
We win valuable time, not having to brief and check up on freelance image manipulators.
Over the last few years, we have focussed on the production of culinary videos. Expanding into this new discipline and making food move across the screen has been magical.
Just like with food photography, food film can supply our customers with a package deal, including conceptualisation, recipe writing, storyboarding and in-house post production (like video editing and color grading.)
It can be very lucrative for a client to combine a photoshoot with video production (simultaneously or in succession). The meetings, briefings, and preparations can be combined and costs of freelancers like food stylist and studio rent can be reduced by clustering activities._M
